Methodology

Coffee prices represent the approximate average cost of a flat white or equivalent espresso-based drink at a mid-range café in each listed city, sourced from Numbeo and Expatistan cost-of-living surveys (2024–25). Addon prices in USD at time of submission. The FSCoffeeIndex ratio: addon price ÷ local coffee price = cups. No adjustments for purchasing power parity, caffeine content, or the emotional cost of waiting 18 months for a ported aircraft. All submissions reviewed by the index maintainer before publication.
